About Chinese Tiger - Black Tea
These beautiful leaves mature in early spring on tea bushes grown at an elevation of over 3000 feet in the Fujian Province of China. Precise and careful handling is required to preserve intact the burst of tiny golden hairs covering the leaf-tip. Three expert tea producers, who travel especially to this tea garden every spring, manufacture this rare variety. Only about 300 kilos of this quality are produced each year.
A Few Words On Taste
The tea brews a dark amber, full-bodied cup. Notes of bitter chocolate, chicory, and malt dominate the aroma and flavor. The robust and smooth liquor has just the right amount of tannin to give the tea character without being overly tannic. It’s lovely drunk alone, or with milk and/or your preferred natural sweetener.
Brewing Instructions
