About Lapsang Souchong - Organically Grown Black Tea
Lapsang Souchong is the favored tea of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s fictitious character, Sherlock Holmes. Our Lapsang comes from the original and legendary Lapsang farm in the Wuyi Mountains of the Fujian Province in China. Our importer has exclusive rights to this original product and we are proud to offer it. This tea is of orthodox manufacture and during the processing it is smoked over a special variety of pine wood indigenous to the region.
A Few Words On Taste The liquor is red-brown and has a smoky aroma and flavor. It is likened to a single malt scotch and conjures memories of a blazing campfire. Lapsang Souchong is a self-drinker as well as a great tea for blends; my sisters love to add a pinch to the Yunnan Gold. It’s delightful drunk alone or with milk and/or your preferred natural sweetener.
