About Yunnan Gold - Black Tea
The Yunnan province of China is believed to be the birthplace of tea. Only the largest leaf buds and first leaf on the shoot are selected to create this particular tea. These beautiful leaves are carefully handled to preserve their shape and the tiny golden hairs apparent on the leaf.
A Few Words On Taste The aroma is rich with hints of honey, blackberry jam and milk chocolate. The liquor has a silky smooth mouth-feel, and a complex flavor profile with notes of oak and milk chocolate. There is an earthy quality to this tea that balances the mix of flavors and creates depth as well. This cup is best enjoyed alone, but if you prefer, you may add milk and/or a natural sweetener.
