About Sencha - Organically Grown Green Tea
Sencha means “steamed” in Japanese. This Sencha is grown and manufactured in Japan in the revered tea gardens of the Uji District outside Kyoto. Home to many organic tea fields, the tea farm where this Sencha is grown holds a USDA organic certification, a rarity in Japan. Top grade leaves are plucked and steamed immediately to end oxidation before being pressed and dried.
A Few Words On Taste This is a green tea with character, a sweet, fresh aroma, and slightly, but piquant liquor. The finish is short and full of fruit. We do not recommend the addition of milk, though your favorite natural sweetener may be added if desired.
