About White Darjeeling - Organically Grown White Tea
The Makaibari tea estate was founded in 1859 and has been producing 100% organically grown teas since 1991. This white Darjeeling is one of the finest we have tried. The bud and first leaf are plucked in the early spring during the 1st flush of growth on the tea plants. The pluckings are then dried in the sun for 2 days time before being gently dried with hot air. You will love its flavor and the fact that it is certified organic and fair trade.
A Few Words On Taste It brews a spectacular full-bodied cup that is naturally sweet and floral. The aroma and flavor have a refined muscatel quality that is a desired characteristic in Darjeeling teas. Try it alone, then add your preferred natural sweetener if so desired. Milk is not recommended.
