Steeping time is determined by the type of tea used and personal taste preferences. Some teas are better when steeped for a long time, others will get bitter. Some teas are better when steeped quickly, but for a number of times. The chart below refers to whole leaf teas as opposed to broken leaf teas. Remember, the smaller the leaves or leaf particles, the more rapidly it will steep.
